International Adoption
Our goal is to provide families with the services they need to prepare them for adopting a child from another country. In compliance with requirements of the Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Cooperation in Respect to Intercountry Adoption, LCFS provides prospective parents with training and home study visits. We will accompany you through the adoption procedure one step at a time and we will meet the necessary requirements for every phase during the adoption process together.
Our International Adoption Program Provides:
• Orientation, training and preparation for new families
• Support and post-placement services by experienced professional staff
• Child matching and placement services through the Lutheran Adoption Network, a national collaboration of 30 Lutheran social ministry organizations that are active in both international and domestic adoptions and who are members of Lutheran Services in America (LSA)
• Free monthly informational meetings.
For more information on specific country programs and adoption requirements, please contact Kelli Gottemoller, Program Coordinator, at 215-881-6800, ext. 221.
