Basic Material Aid

Many LCFS clients are indigent and in need of basic household items, furniture and clothing. Please consider providing essential material aid through one or more LCFS programs. Special Needs for Newly Arriving Refugees

In addition to collecting and distributing basic material aid, the LCFS Refugee Resettlement needs the following items to meet the special needs of refugees:

	Welcome Boxes
	Book bags and supplies for children, collected and distributed in late summer
	Coats, hats, gloves and scarves for refugees facing their first winter in Philadelphia, collected in late fall for distribution in early winter

Hope Restoration Admission/Tickets to Concerts, Sporting Events, Museums, Zoos

Through its Hope Restoration activities, the Liberty Center for Survivors of Torture offers opportunities for individual survivors, families and peer groups to experience the benefits of getting out, interacting with members of the community, and enjoying the pleasures of life which have been denied them as a result of their torture experiences and displacement.

Holiday Gifts for Needy Children

Congregations and individuals can provide toys, small electronic appliances, CDs, and gift certificates for children of low-income families through the Christmas Ingathering.

Contributions to Support Social Services in Olney and Feltonville

Donations of furniture, household appliances, decorative items, and clothing are needed for Elsa's Thrift Shop, which raises funds for social service and community development programs in the Olney and Feltonville neighborhoods of Philadelphia, and distributes material aid to community members in need.
