WHAT'S NEW AT PASS

If you have teenagers at home our Making Connections FREE Winter Program is not to be missed! We've put together a program that we are sure you and your teen will enjoy. Our goal is to show you how to move beyond the negative outside influences present in today's society and prepare for a future with confidence. On the first Saturday of the program (Jan. 12), the scheduled speakers promise to inspire parents and teens alike, and we saved the best part for last.... an amazing and entertaining program led by Harold Brooks, Artistic Director of the Love Hate Joy and Pain Drama Troupe. On the second Saturday (Jan. 19), we'll look to the future with a demonstration of the online assessment tools. It will be great to give the kids a chance to sit at a computer screen and develop their own learning plans based on the results of a Life Skill Assessment. During lunch, we'll entertain you with a new Philadelphia Boys Dance Troupe. Plan to stay around after lunch because we've invited representatives from Philly Job Corps, White-Williams Scholars, Girls Inc., the Youth Empowerment Group, The Lighthouse, and many others to meet and talk to you about job training, education and recreation opportunities. What more can we tell you? Well, for more info follow the Making Connections link above. Hope to see you on the 12th!

In the meantime, plans are in the works for a start-up of a new family support group in the Cheltenham Area making our programs better located to serve you. In addition, we're forming a monthly Life Book Club for parents of children 12 years and younger starting Saturday, February 23rd from 10:00 a.m. till noon at the PASS offices in Roslyn, PA at 1256 Easton Road. If building your special child's profile by creating their life book appeals to you, call our office at 215-881-6800 x203 or drop us an email RIGHT HERE. Bring a stack of photos and we'll provide guidance, materials and companionship. You will learn why Life Books are essential for adoptees from Sherri Gannon, Bethanna Adoption Supervisor. We'd be thrilled to have you join this unique adoptive moms' scrapbooking club.

As always, all emails, phone calls and inquiries are welcome.

Irma Holland, PASS PROGRAM COORDINATOR
