Senior Centers

Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging and Lutheran Children and Family Service operate two dynamic senior programs in Philadelphia.  The West Philadelphia Senior Community Center is the newest senior center to be built in the city in over 30 years.  The Olney Senior Program is located at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at the intersection of 5th and Nedro.  Please read more about these senior services below. 

West Philadelphia Senior Community Center
Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) and Lutheran Children and Family Service (LCFS) welcome you!
 
Located in a spacious, beautiful facility at 1016 N. 41st Street, at the corner of Poplar and 41st, the West Philadelphia Senior Community Center is fully outfitted with state-of the-art educational, recreational, and computer equipment.

Our landscaped, climate controlled, sky-lit atrium offers a beautiful, secure meeting place for year-round enjoyment of the company of friends and neighbors.  The Center offers a daily lunch program plus a wide range of individual and group activities, classes, clubs, health and wellness services, educational programs, transportation assistance and much, much more. 

When coming in to register, please remember to bring identification, proof of your residence in Philadelphia, and proof of your age (you must be 50 or older to join WPSCC.)

Olney Senior Program
Olney Senior Program, funded by the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA), has operated at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Olney since 1984. Offered are socialization activities, counseling services, computer instruction, Tai Chi classes, intergenerational programming, craft-making, gardening activities and a mid-day meal. In addition, the Olney Senior program is multicultural and welcomes all community seniors.
